Dr. Helen Lloyd
Helen is a now well-established part of the fabric of Meadows Medical Centre and Northern Rivers communities. She is a GP with over 10 years experience and knows the local health landscape intimately.
Helen enjoys all aspects of General Practice including all life ages and stages, male and female health checks and management of chronic disease.
Dr. Rosie Hamilton
Originally from WA, Rosie studied and trained in Sydney before fleeing North to do her GP training. She has worked at Meadows, and lived locally, for 15 years now. She has also worked a 9 year stint at headspace Youth Mental Health Service in Lismore. She is a Senior Lecturer in General Practice for Sydney Uni’s rural school in Lismore. Rosie sees General Practice as the best way to practice good holistic medicine. She has special interests in mental health, adolescent health and sexual health as well as gender diversity. It is whole person whole-of life care that really interests her though. She believes it is a real privilege to help people work towards their best possible true health, on all levels. Rosie has completed a Masters in Psychiatric Medicine, Level 2 Mental Health Skills training as well as a certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health and is trained in IUD insertion and Medical Termination of Pregnancy.
Dr Filipe Soares Rocha
Filipe completed his Integrated Masters in Medicine in Lisbon and Paris. After his European journey and teaching medical subjects in Sydney, he has worked in Australian General Practice since 2014 and has taught clinical reasoning to medical students at Bond Uni.
He holds Australian qualifications: Royal Australian College of GPs Fellowship; Medical Council Cert.; Family Planning Cert. in Women's and Men's Reproductive and Sexual Health; Cert. in Mental Health; Institute of Ultrasound certificates; Advanced Cert. of Skin Cancer.
Filipe asserts continuing care from prevention to minor surgery, in all ages. Whilst selecting a specialty, he liked so many fields he could not pick a specific one, so he specialised in General Practice, considering the patient as a whole person, beyond a symptoms presentation.
He loves a clinical jigsaw puzzle and a good laugh (what a remedy!). And dogs.
Dr. Myron Binns
Dr Myron Binns has been in the Mullumbimby area for much of the last 17 years. Myron had his life start in Jamaica, followed by subsequent stints in Britain, the USA and New Zealand.
Myron is a highly experienced GP who holds a special interest in the care of the elderly. Myron is committed to long-term patient care and strives to build strong therapeutic relationships with his patients.
Outside of work Myron is a racquet sport enthusiast and enjoys playing Badminton, Tennis and Pickleball.
Dr Emma Gordon
Dr Emma Gordon completed her medical degree and Bachelor of Physiology in the UK. After working in Emergency, Oncology and then Palliative Care she specialised in General Practice to fulfil her passion for holistic health care.
Emma has a particular interest in women’s and adolescent health, and is trained in Implanon insertion and medical termination of pregnancy.
In her spare time she enjoys travelling, pilates, surfing and running on the beach.
Dr Debbie Mortimer
Dr Debbie Mortimer is an experienced GP specialising in Women’s Health.
Debbie works on a limited part time basis and is not currently taking on new patients.
Dr Richard Browning
Dr Richard Browning began his practice at Meadows Medical Centre in 2023.
Richard worked as an emergency nurse before undertaking further education to obtain his MBBS and Fellowship with RACGP.
Richard has a deep commitment to General Practice with a special interest in skin cancer diagnosis, management and treatment.
Dr Bridget Lawler
Dr Bridget moved to the Northern Rivers late 2023, after one year of travel and working across regional and remote Australia. She is passionate about Women’s, Sexual and LGBTQIA+ Health and has completed her Diploma of Children’s Health, and Obstetrics and Gynaecology. Also, she is trained in gender affirming care, implanon and IUD insertion and is a registered medical abortion provider.
In her spare time, you will find Bridget on a trail run, taking a board out for a 1 foot surf or exploring the coast line with her partner in their old van.
Dr Adam Chakos
Dr Adam Chakos came to Meadows in early 2023 to complete his registrar training.
Adam received his Fellowship from the RACGP in February of 2024 and will continue to consult at Meadows Medical Centre as an Independent GP.
Dr Chakos excels at comprehensive patient care and enjoys developing strong clinical relationships with his patients.
Dr Miranda Cumming
Dr Miranda Cumming has returned to Meadows Medical Centre for her final term of GP training.
Dr Cumming is a welcome addition to the Meadows Clinical team and we are please to have her back in the practice.
Miranda develops great rapport with her patients and excels at whole patient care.
Miranda has a keen interest in skin cancer diagnosis and management and looks forward to building her skills in this area alongside our experienced clinical team.
Dr Brianna Crocker
Dr Brianna Crocker has joined Meadows Medical Centre for her final term of GP Training.
Dr Brianna has worked hopsitals thoughout New South Wales and has worked as a GP Registrar in the Northern Rivers over the past few years.
Dr Brianna has a keen interest in Women’s and Children’s Health and she is a welcome addition to the Meadows team.
Dr Sara Mokhtarpour
Dr Sara Mokhtarpour has joined Meadows Medical Centre for a short placement of GP Training before she joins the Air Force to continue her training in General Practice.
Dr Sara has worked at Queensland Hospitals prior to commencing her GP training. Dr Sara keen to apply her skills in a Primary Care Setting, while drawing on the knowledge of our experienced GPs.
