Filipe enjoys the adrenaline of Emergency Medicine, but is also deeply passionate about continuing care and Medicine in all of its facets, from prevention to minor surgery. When it came to choosing a specialty, he liked so many fields he could not pick a specific one, so he decided to become specialised in General Practice, better said, Family Medicine.
Therefore, Filipe considers the patient first of all as a person, beyond a presentation of symptoms. He loves not only a good jigsaw puzzle in diagnosing health problems but also a good laugh (what a good remedy!)

His mission is to empower his patients by showing ways to not only navigate the challenge of illness and infirmary but also how to use personal health to thrive in life.
Alex loves engaging in his local community and practices what he teaches. You may see him getting after it in the surf, on the mats sparring MMA or in the center of the dance floor at the next Latin Fiesta.
